All tracks shows up twice

I don't know what happened or what i did but when i go to my songs under databases every track show up twice. When i go to the tracks under files they only show up once.

1. how can i fix this so my tracks only show up once under database?
2. do i have to format my player to undo this?

Chronon:
You can reinitialize your database.  Make sure to export data first if you wish to keep things like song ratings, recently added, etc.

I just ran into this today on a Sansa Fuze v2. I guess that bug was closed prematurely.

Chronon:
It only shows up under poorly understood conditions.  You can file a fresh bug report for it if you wish.  I used to see it on my e280 but haven't seen it in ages.
