Error Accessing Playlist File...
(1/1)
gregs76:
So I'm new to the Rockbox world - just manually installed it on my Sansa e200 (4GB) last night. It's been great so far... Except that I can't save a playlist! When I try to save one, I get the message "Error Accessing Playlist File". I looked around on the forums to try to find something that would help, but have been unable to find anything so far. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Chronon:
Try running a file system check on your player to detect and fix any errors.
Is the message "Error accessing playlist control file"? If that's the case then you can try deleting the .playlist_control file. (It should get recreated when you restart Rockbox.)

So the error message I got was what I put in the header: "Error Accessing Playlist File". I ran a system check, and got no errors, but I'm still having problems. Maybe I'm just missing something, so I'll ask a dumb question. If I go to Playlists --> Save Current Playlist, what should the file name look like? I think just seeing an example may help, and if there's another (better) way to save a playlist, please let me know. Thanks for your help!
Chronon:
The default path and name if you choose "Save current playlist" is /dynamic.m3u8 -- this saves dynamic.m3u8 to the root of your player. As long as the entry that you accept in the virtual keyboard corresponds to a valid path and filename (no forbidden characters, etc.) it should be able to save.
