Rockbox on Sansa Fuze V1 8GB
(1/1)
KiwiCam:
I've just purchased a Sansa Fuze with version v01.01.22p firmware. I gather that this is a V1.
From reading these forums, I was under the impression that I can run Rockbox easily on my Fuze and that V2 was still being worked on. I tried to install Rockbox using the Rockbox Utility, but it doesn't recognise my Fuze. It's on the F: drive.
I then tried the manual install and have succeeded in extracting the sansae200 zip file into the fuse. I then tried to install the bootloader using Sansapatcher, but the utility states that no E200 or C200's are found and aborts.
Am I mistaken? Can anyone please help?
LambdaCalculus:
Rockbox isn't meant for everyday use on the Fuze. It's only useful for developers at this time.
KiwiCam:
Ok. I'll remove the .rockbox folder form the Sansa. I assume that I can just select and delete?
I was getting all excited about having Rockbox on the Fuze (after seeing the Fuze Rockbox emulator. Sweet.) I'll try to be patient. ::)
Thanks for now.

Just as a note, it is a simulator, not an emulator. The difference is quite important.
