c250 not found under drive but under other devices

my sansa c250 is found under other devices. It will not auto detect and I dont know how to map it since it isnt listed under devices with removeable storage. I tried to change usb mode to msc under settings but it is not there. That option is available on my e280 though. Any thoughts

Check the FAQ.  Theres an entry about MSC mode and firmware versions for the c200 series.

Also, if you're going to ask for help with your operating system, its a good idea to say which one you're using.

I am using windows xp and sansa version is 1.01.05p. I read the posts. Like I said I dont have the option to change usp in sansa firmware to msc with the c250. It shows up under other devices not a drive
Went to sansas site...updated to 1.01.07 now usb msc is available :D

Just to clarify the lack of usb setting in 1.01.05 firmware is covered in the FAQ ....

and even tells you how to get a player running this firmware into MSC mode.
