i need help with the gigabeat surgury
« on: February 18, 2009, 09:14:19 PM »
Ok, ive successfully done all the steps up to this (Go to the Gigabeat drive in Windows Explorer and copy the GBSYSTEM folder to the device as per the instructions in the Gigabeat manual.)

I know its in the manual but ive read the manual and I am still unclear on what i need to do.  Do i send the entire GBSYSTEM folder to my gigabeat, or just the fwimg?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you can send the entire GBSYSTEM folder to the Gigabeat.

i just tried to send the entire GBSYSTEM folder to the gigabeat and a message came up on my computer that says "The target can not handle this type of document."

Then it's trying to use MTP for the transfer. Do you have it plugged in through the dock, or directly?
