Oh please tell me I don't have to format the c250! (AGAIN!)
(1/1)
201d:
I was working fine then this morning it'd freeze whenever you picked an option on the menu. The player works fine on the original firmware.
ANyway I thought I'd ovewrite the fsystem with the rockbox utility but it won't detect the drive.
Anyone know what could be causing this problem? How to fix it? I absolutely LOATHE the original sansa firmware. Thanx!
P.S. I hope this is the appropriate forum for this question.
P.P.S. eh, never mind, holding down the record button while starting up to reset the settings worked just fine. thanks anyway.
P.P.P.S ok so I got the player to work fine but when I connect in USB mode it gives me two empty drives in my computer. Sansapatcher and utility fail to see the drive. What's wrong? It used to work 24 hours ago!
Chronon:
I'm a little unclear on what state your player is in. Are you still trying to install the Rockbox bootloader?
LambdaCalculus:
Also, what OS are you using, are you running Sansapatcher with admin rights, and are you reading the manual?
201d:
Woah. I guess I was not as clear. I meant my fully rockboxed c250 just starte locking up. I conclusion I beleive the partitions had been corrupted so it froze whenever it went to read the drive, that also explained the blank disks in windos.
Anyway I used the original firmware's FORMAT option and reinstalled with the Utility. THe bootloader was not disturbed. All is good now
Thanks for your help anyway! Does anyone know what happened so I can prevent it?
Chronon:
I have seen file system corruption cause a lot of strange problems for people. This can occur if you don't safely remove the device (eject) before unplugging it.
