Question about the iriver H10 USB and screen

I am new here and by reading through some of the wiki and manual understand that the iriver H10 20GB has a pretty stable port and am considering buying one

are there issues with the USB as the wiki seems to indicate or does that just mean USB support for  external devices and the mass storage mode works fine (by holding the O button)?

and also I think 1 bit images on the WPS screen sounds a bit strange is that info out of date?

anything else I should know about?

there seems to be a good number of WPS themes for it

That iriver FAQ still has old information on it, but ignore it; it was relevant when the port for the H300 had just started and didn't have full color support.

The H10 (along with the Sansas and the iPods) doesn't have a fully working USB stack yet, so you'll have to use the original firmware to do any file transfers. Dual boot instructions are in the manual.

cb88 - Well, using the -o- button, as you said, to boot in UMS mode instead of MTP *is* part of what LambdaCalculus meant in regards to 'using the OF'..  Some day down the line, we might be able to just plug it in and it goes in USB mode but we're not there yet. :)

The lcd is 16bit colours and works quite well btw, I just wish mine was a 20gb too and not the small 5gb one.
