Data Abort during playback
(1/1)
direcow:
Hi! I get this error from time to time... it's not fixed to a certain track, because rebooting and choosing the exact same track to play won't repeat the problem. I've scanned my ipod using scandisk and no errors were found, and just changed a new battery recently.
I'm currently using an Ipod photo 4G, rockbox version r19908.
the error message reads:
Data Abort at 0000A634 (0)
I'm not sure what this means, if my hdd is corrupted, or it's something to do with rockbox. Hope you guys can help!

Sounds like FS#9827. If so, it's caused by bug(s) in the file buffering code. It only happens when the timing is just "right", so things happen in an unexpected order. This makes it difficult to track down...

thanks for the heads up! Looks like I'll keep an eye there, am guessing it'll take a while tho.
