SOLVED: Can't save voice recordings
wallmg:
Not sure what you are saying, but I have resolved my issue. By going into the context menu for database and selecting update now, the voice recordings now appear in the directory that I chose for them to be in. So all is good now. Thanks.
Llorean:
The database doesn't affect the files area. Updating the database cannot make them show up in a folder in the files area... Are you absolutely sure that's the only thing you did?
wallmg:
Yes. I selected Update Now for the Database, and then I turned Auto Update ON for the Database. That's all I did, and then they were visible in all the directories I had set at different times as my Set as Recording Directory.
petur:
in that case, you were not viewing files but database.

I'll walk you through what I did.
If I went into File, and looked in any of the directories I set as my Recording directory, none of the files I recorded showed up. I could enter the context menu for each of those directories and select properties, and it would tell me there were files there. But going into the directory, the files were not visible.
So, I went back to the main menu, highlighted Database, held down the Select key until the context menu opened up. I selected Update Now, and then selected Auto Update.
Then I went back into the File menu, and looked in each of the directories I had selected as my Recording directory at different times, and all the files were visible now.
You seem to be indicating that this is impossible, so maybe I did some other step and don't remember. But I'm pretty certain, the steps outlined above were the only steps I took to make this happen.
