Sansa E250 installation problem "permission for disk access denied"

As the subject says i have a Sansa E250 and i can't get it to install. I go into Rockbox utility and press under quick start "complete installation" a window pops up showing the steps it is taking to install it and it says "permission for disk access denied. this is required to install the bootloader" What do i need to do to get it to install?

There is a bug in rbutil 1.0.9 and 1.0.8 (as searching the forum would have shown).  Try using either 1.0.7 for the bootloader installation, or the manual method from the manual.

how do i make rock box utility install 1.0.7? maybe i should look in the manual.






edit: well i can't find anything in the manual.

No, it is rbutil version 1.0.7.  The manual definitely contains the manual way of doing it, and http://download.rockbox.org/rbutil/ has versions of rbutil.

Yeah, manual is the way to go.. First, I too preferred Automatic Installer.. But, I ended up with a "not responding" window when I chose "Auto Detect".. Went for the manual installation then.. Simple!!
