How to display japanese characters(kanjis)

Some of my mp3s are tagged with japanese kanjs but my SansaE200 with rockbox 3.1 only shows me [] signs in filetree and on wps instead of the kanjis.

example: GOD OF ROMANCE (ロマンスの神様) tagged as ID3v2.3@utf16 by Tagscanner will get displayed as: GOD OF ROMANCE ([][][][][][][])

How can I activate support for asian languages in rockbox?

You need to use a font that contains japanese characters - unifont is one, there are others.  Have a search of the forum, this has been asked before.

Thank you, I have found the right thread now.

And it works really good with the "nimbus+umings-14" font.
