Am I in a corner as far as installing a patch?

Every since my mom brought me my Sansa C250 (When I really wanted an Ipod Nano) I instantly thought: "Boy, is this thing boring or what?" which is probably because I was expecting an nano. LOL  :D Anyway, as soon as I got to school the next day, I Googled around for a way(s) to extend the features of my C250. Bam, I'm hit with the awesomeness that is Rockbox. I was finally sold after I read that I could play videos (what a bonus!) and downloaded it after reading the instructions. After a few minutes, I was loving my mom and my C250 more than I had before, and thinking, (Rockbox really rocks!) (LOL). The only problem is that I made the mistake of showing my sister, and now she wants it. And now every time I leave it out, for more than a minute long, she has it. Soooo...i used the school's computer to search for a way to password protect rockbox. What I found was this and this. I found out they were called "patches" and after reading the documentation, was prepared to download and try my hand at it. Unfortunately for me, the school computer policy is that no software can be installed on a computer that has not been certified already by the school.  :o  >:( We only have one computer a home, and that's my Dad's, and he won't let me touch it, not to mention that it's password protected. So...I was stuck. Is there any way to do this with out installing anything?

Thanks, VERY VERY HAPPY TOWARDS WHOEVER REPLIES.

P.S.: I love rockbox!!!

You will need access to a compiler if you are going to compile a patched build.

:( What? So I'm lost here? Would any one be willing to compile it for me?

AlexP:
Yes, without a PC that you can install a build environment on you cannot do it.  Furthermore, looking at the age of those patches you linked to they will be very out of date and need updating to work with current Rockbox.  You may find someone willing to compile for you, but I would imagine it'd be much harder finding someone willing to fix the patches first.

I'd suggest not leaving your Sansa lying around, or persuade someone to buy another one for your sister (they are only approx. €15 depending on where you look), making sure that is a v1 (as Rockbox doesn't run on the v2.

Well then, I guess that means there's no hope, right?  :'(
