Recovery Mode on a Macintosh

(1/1)

BillMPL:
I hope there's some Mac users around here.

How do you get the 16mb drive to mount when in recovery mode? I can see the drive in DiskUtility, but the option to mount the drive is grayed out and the drive doesn't mount on it's own.

Do any other Mac people have this problem? I tried on two different Macs.

Legomaniac:
I hate to burst your hopes, but I have a mac book pro with os 10.5 running VMWare Fusion with windows xp and the 16 MB drive mounts just fine in the virtual machine and right on the desktop.

If you can still boot into the original firmware did you try MSC instead of MTP mode?

BillMPL:
I can't boot into the original firmware. So are you mounting the 16mb drive when in windows emulation or when in Macintosh mode?

To follow up:

I was able to boot into recovery mode and have the 16mb drive appear on the desktop by rebooting my Mac into system 9 instead of system 10.
