Cool idea. But cyberguys failed to use a 90-degree jack. Therefore their lateral forces still create greater leverage than my 90-degree back-yard solution.

Use a right-angle jack to plug in to your device. It spins in your direction rather than levering. The 90-degree jack protrudes only a fraction of the length of a straight jack. The leverage of the 90-degree is greatly diminished.
