Sansa e200 (& c200) headphone-plug to board repair
coiley:
I have repaired a c200 and an e200 where lateral forces on the headphone-plug tore a plug pad right off the PC board. (On the e200 the left channel was lost.)
I have taken pictures of the problem and the repair at 4800dpi.
I have also devised what I call a break-away dongle for the headphone plug. It transfers forces away from the headphone-plug.
Is this operation already posted somewhere else - so that I am wasting my time posting it again? (Got a link?)
And, if my work is NOT redundant, where is a good place to post/host the information (pictures and narration).
Thanks,

Chronon:
Some others have repaired this sort of thing, but I'm not aware of a good repair guide. I think you can safely create a page for this in the wiki. :)
coiley:
I hate to confess my ignorance - but could you direct me to a guide for posting to "the wiki"?
I was thinking more in terms of creating a post (in the proper place) with dialogue and embedded images.
But I am open to a better method - if you have a moment to instruct me. I understand if it is not worth the time.

Chronon:
The "wiki" link has some brief registration instructions at the top. Once you have registered and received write permission you can create and edit pages on the wiki. The edit page will have brief formatting instructions and a link to more detailed instructions if you need them.
To create a new page in the wiki, type in the name of the desired page in the "Go" box in the upper right hand corner. You will be told that the page does not exist and asked if you would like to create it.

Thanks. I'm with you now. The "wiki" YOU refer to is linked in the left column of the RockBox pages under the category "Documentation". It is "wiki" local - and specific to RockBox. Gotcha. I'm registered and confirmed. I think I can make it from here.
Thanks again,
