Wired Remote Support for m:robe 100

Any word about the wired remote working for the m:robe 100 in rockbox? Stupid me bought the remote first before checing to see if it would work.

Is there some odd conflict that stops it from doing so? Or am I running into the same problem to m:robe always has, no one really has them so it's just never been worked on?
