New RB on ipod 5.5

I just downloaded and installed the newest version of RB using the utility and now my iPod isn't showing up at all on my computer.

When I plug it into my computer the ipod will stay in RB as normal and just get charged- It does not show in my computer or itunes or mediamonkey or anything.  All I can think that it would be is the update for rockbox, I havn't done anything else to my ipod or computer since and I don't think the cable is at fault ???

Any ideas would be appreciated  :-\



***Just tried starting it in disk mode and that worked.  I don't know why but I'm not complaining

There was a recently fixed bug which was preventing some iPods from rebooting into disk mode upon USB cable insertion.
This is why in the forum guidelines we ask you to report specific version numbers, not just "newest" - as "newest" changes upwards of 10 times a day.

Also, this is no longer an install issue, but rather a general issue - thus the move.
