Help! 5G video stuffed....

I installed rockbox on my 5G video a couple of days ago, and I kept getting errors when I was playing music files. However, everytime I resetted it it worked fine again, so I ignored at.

However, just then, my video threw out an error (something about an error in the instructions) whilst playing FLAC files, and now it refuses to boot up at all. In the 1 off where I was able to boot it up into the original firmware, I immediately connected it to my computer and it just froze and wasn't picked up at all.

Is my 5G bricked?

Does a hard reset not work ? (extremely unlikely it won't)

Hmm, I left it on the charger last night, and this morning I was able to do a full restore in iTunes. After that, I decided to leave it plugged into the charger whilst I was out for the rest of the day.

However, when I got home and disconnected it from the charger, the 5G stopped working again, and all I get at start-up is the "connect to iTunes to restore" screen.

I suspect a hardware flaw.  Maybe the hard drive is faulty.

Hmm, hard drive seemed to sound find when spinning up....

Turned out to be a faulty HD. Luckily the store has offered to replace it.
