I also have this problem with my 5th generation 30GB iPod.  I'm guessing it's due to the changes in r19819.

r19874 doesn't fix USB detection for my iPod Video 80Gb 5.5G...
No workaround available yet, right? :S Going back to rockbox 3.1 I guess... 

/edit: Using Windows XP SP3 btw.

r19874 works for my 5G 60GB iPod Video. :) Awesome!

(Using XP SP1 if that matters)

Todays build (r19879-090129) solved the USB detection problem for my iPod Video 80GB G5.5 too! Everything back to normal now! Thanks!

I'd just like to say thank you to everyone that has worked on rockbox. I've really liked using rockbox over the past few month. :D

On my Ipod Video 80gb (r19869-090127) I also noticed it wasn't switching into disk mode when usb cable connected.

But I didn't realise this was a bug. I think it was nice that it doesn't automatically go into disk mode,

I put ipod into disk mode manually when I wanted to change stuff on ipod.

Thanks again for rockbox :)
