problems with rockbox utility on an ipod vid 5th gen

keep getting Warning this is a macpod rockbox requires winpod.  Ive reformated it everyway possible it is fat32 format   and it still will not recognise is as fat 32,  can anybody shed some light on this. id really appreciate it, i love rockbox and need it back asap thanks

How do you tell it is FAT32? Have you also converted the partition table correctly? How did you do the conversion after all?

As bluebrother says, there is more to it than just reformatting - the partition table needs to be correct too.  The easiest way to do this is to restore it with itunes on a windows machine.  The manual option on linux is at:
