support for aa3 files(Sony's ATrac fromat)?

i recently downloaded some aa3 files from one of Sony's sites and put them on my mp3 player, but was un able to play them so i check the rockbox site for supported sound codecs and apparently this format is not supported, so i searched the forums and found nothing on the subject...

so i'm asking the question...
will this format ever be supported?
are there any plans for possibly adding support for it?
 



edit: apparently when i search i spelled it wrong... i search again just now, so i'll check what i've found, but responses are still welcome...

edit #2: so i read though the search results and found nothing mentioning the support of this format... so...  i guess my post and therefore my question is still valid.
any answers for me?

ATRAC is about a dozen different codecs, some of which have been reverse engineered, some of which have not.  The ones with decoders could be implemented in rockbox.
