Thanks for that very thorough overview. The D2 does look like a very nice bit of kit. The sort of thing I'm thinkinga about. It does seem a shame that the maximum size it has of built in memory is 16GB.

It does seem for the moment that my faithful iRiver will continue, I hope some manufactures continue to make music players rather than portable video players.

i'm with you on that mate!-  the iriver h140 still hasn't been replaced for me-  i guess i'm hoping deep down they remake it in half the size with a 500gb hard drive in it!
