Real-time audio spectrum
« on: January 21, 2009, 01:55:15 PM »
I'd like to see a plugin that breaks down the currently playing audio and displays it as a spectrum. I've been thinking of implementing it, but after a little research, it's way over my head.

If it can be described as a creative work, yes.

plugins->Demos->Oscilloscope
Oscilloscope in general does not show a spectrum. It displays a waveform.

For study:

I would love to see an audio spectrum available in Rockbox, i wouldnt really worry how much battery life it would consume it was just be a good feature to have.

eg i would use it when using my iPod on the charger playing through speakers.

Cool idea!
