SGT.BILLY:
i use "drag n' drop" to add my music to my sansa, but when i turn it on the music only shows up in the .rockbox folder in the files, could somone please help me figure out how to get the music in database?
any help is greatly appreciated! thx, SGT.BILLY
MarcGuay:
Did you read the section of the manual which describes how to set up the database?
Llorean:
The .rockbox folder is also ignored by the database (at least, I think by default it has a database.ignore in it).
You should put your music somewhere else.
Zardoz:
maybe create a folder on the root of your drive called 'MUSIC' and arrange/place/drag-drop all your music in there in folders relating to their first capital letter or whatever you want. You just need to choose a 'place' first of all and arrange it suitably.
like Llorean says don't put your music in files or folders inside the .rockbox folder because it's usually ignored when creating the music database, which means when you select 'initialize database' all of the files therein are ignored...

This is generally not a good name to pick on a Sansa, as that is the folder name used by the OF and is set to 'hidden' every time the OF is started (for charging/transfers etc).
Use 'Audio' or 'MyMusic' or 'MP3' or anything other than 'MUSIC'.
