e260 problem, freezing during playback

e260 was working fine with rockbox for the past month. just yesterday it started freezing randomly

the database is screwed up, sometimes it detects files and sometimes it doesn't. i booted it up today and half of the genres were gone, i updated and initialized the database and rebooted and it shows all but one of the genres. The micro sd card gets detected randomly, sometimes it shows sometimes it doesn't.

besides that, today i booted my player up only to find out that it freezes 3 seconds into any song. Playing or stopping completely freezes it, playing any games freezes randomly as well. Browsing through menus however works flawlessly but i've already messed around with every settings possible.

I've had rockbox on this player for a month and i haven't added any new songs or changed any themes at all, so I'm wondering why it's doing this all the sudden.

Are you using the latest version of Rockbox?

No as i mentioned i haven't touched anything at all for the past month. themes are the only thing i've changed. I'll try upgrading rockbox and formatting to see if it helps. The thing that bothers me is that this issue just randomly came up without anything being changed, the original sansa firmware still works.
