E280 sansa player theme probelm

hi, im new here. i was trying to install a theme but it doesnt work.  i did google and try to do what other ppl say but still no luck..

this is the theme im trying to install " http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WpsSansaE200#BlacknBlue_Glass "

any help will be nice

first one said copy the files into the theme folder didnt work
second copy it in to the .rockbox folder didnt work
third  use the rockbox progarm and use the extra tab> install themes but says "theme site is being reworked

wont look like what the pic is like, it still the default setting theme

If you extract the archive to the root of your player then all of the files should end up in the correct locations.  Does the theme appear in the list of themes?

yes it is but it doesnt apply it

Are you getting a fall-back theme with peakmeters?

If so, then the theme you are trying to apply is outdated and needs updating.  See www.rockbox.org/wiki/CustomWPS

I tried this theme (downloaded using the link you provided) on a E200 UI Simulator, and the theme worked fine.
What exactly does the theme look like when you try to apply it?

the menu screen is all black so is highlight select is black text is white and when playing a game it all buggy, with symbols

is it best to remove it then reinstall it?(rockbox)

Maybe you could capture a screen shot for us.  (This can be done from within Rockbox.)
In any case, it seems that the problems you're seeing are particular to your setup.  You can certainly try a fresh install, reset your settings, check the filesystem of your player to make sure things aren't errors, etc.

I think it should be something like : "Where's the link to attach a file to this post, [Ilovehayden] can only see an option to hotlink an external image?"

Answer would be "press 'additional options' at the bottom of the post reply's textbox.
