[solved]e200 battery completely drained -> can't charge?
« on: January 12, 2009, 09:05:40 PM »
I have rockbox on my e200 [e260 to be specific] and have found it quite enjoyable. Earlier today I accidentally entirely drained the battery: it actually turned off in the middle of a song. I waited a couple hours, then connected it to my computer with the cable. I then observed I couldn't turn it on to charge; in my experience, I have to boot into the OF to charge, but since it doesn't have any charge right now it won't boot (even after 3 hours of connection). Might ya'll have suggestions on cures? Many thanks.

[edited to update model]

There is no e240.

You can boot the OF without even having a battery installed, so your problem probably isn't a dead battery.  What happens if you hold power for 15-30 seconds to force a reboot?

Oh, wow, that works; apologies for an amazingly stupid question.
