Power Dock Stations for Sansa does Rockbox support them?
(1/1)
tipstir:
Can these two dock stations work with Rockbox software?
Seem to be very popular the second one has wireless remote and can be tapped into your stereo system. I haven't got them yet.
Chronon:
It seems that those require the dock to communicate with the Sansa. Rockbox doesn't respond to or send the right signals, so there's no chance of these sort of accessories working in their full capacity. Line out should probably work, but not much else from what I understand.
epithetless:
Based on personal experience, the first one you pictured (the Griffin PowerDock) does transmit audio through its line out port when in the Rockbox firmware (with the volume level being scroll-wheel dependent). With yesterday's commit of r19748 ("c200v1/e200v1: Add battery charging"), charging should probably work with the dock/Rockbox firmware combo, too.
I have no experience with the second dock.
skinsman:
Also based on personal experience, the Griffin PowerDock does work well with an e200v1:
- transmits audio through its line out port when in the Rockbox firmware (with the volume level being scroll-wheel dependent);
- charges when in RockBox firmware (I'm using RockBox v3.4)
Just hold the Select button while you drop the e200v1 into the dock.
However no such luck with e200v2 (Sansa AMS) - no audio. That's the case with RockBox AND the original firmware (which goes into "connected" mode). At least under RockBox charging works, unlike the original firmware which seems to go into a strange no-mans-land where it's "connected" but not fully, so doesn't enable charging.
I think based on this forum entry:

the lack of audio is expected, and hopefjully will be fixed in the future.
