how can i boot the original firmware

The manual explains how to boot the original firmware.  Check chapter 3.  (My company's web filter prevents me from accessing the manual, so I cannot provide you with a direct link.)

i tried the |<< but it shows some words then doesnt boot
just shows the SANDISK screen

EDIT: I GOT IT TO WORK!!
it was confusing ,i holded the |<< button then the words showed up it went to the san disk screen i plugged it in then unplugged it and it worked.
