While I definitely sympathize with the moderators, I have to agree with the 'No Sticky' crowd.
Folks too impatient to search for an answer, will likely post their question 'sticky' or 'no sticky'.
'Stickey bloat' will make the impatient even less likely to look at the 'stickeys' -- so the whole thing becomes self defeating. For the majority of forum members, 'stickies' are a continual annoyance.
MysticRiver has too many 'stickies' and other sites I frequent have full pages of them. It's really irritating to have to scroll a whole page just to get to the recent posts.
The Rockbox site is very 'clean' and that reflects the hard work that everyone does. It would be a shame to pollute that with 'sticky bloat'.

first of all thanks a lot for all the work that has been dedicated to this project.
With all repect I would like to make a suggestion for a Sticky,
here it is:
" PLEASE : Let all of us join forces, and be even more dedicated to make Rockbox work in 6th Gen iPods. DONT GIVE UP! "
