Change "Database" name

I just edited the english.lng file using Wordpad to change the word "Database" to "Music Database," and then loaded the new language file under Settings --> General Settings --> Language.  It worked perfectly.  My main menu now lists "Music Database" instead of "Database."

Can you describe exactly what you are doing so that we can figure out what you are doing wrong?  When I say "describe exactly what you are doing," I mean describe every step that you are taking, and the results of each step.  For example, how are you editing the english.lng file?  Exactly what steps are you taking to load the .lng file once you have edited it?

OK here is what I did:
1. Opened the .lng file
2. Found "Database"
3. Erased "Database" and put "Music"
4. Saved it
5. Turned on player

It doesn't appear from your description that you loaded the language file after you edited it.  Load the .lng file using the instructions in Chapter 12 of the Manual.

Punctuation is required in these forums.

well i edited when it was already in the folder in my player driver, that might be the problem? Should I:
1. Copy the file to my desktop
2. Edit the file thats on my desktop
3. Save it
4. Copy the edited file back to my player
5. turn on player

yeah I know to go to Settings --> General Settings --> Language
and select the language file i edited!   i did that and it didnt change.

Then I guess you're not editing the same file that you're loading?

no i am, when i edit it i save the file as "custom" then i load "custom"

EDIT: Ok i got it to work, i used Mircrosoft Word instead of notepad this time and now it is working.
