dirplay - play the contents of one folder (shuffled or not)
...
--- End quote ---
Hi, this is my first posting (as anyone can find out) and I discovered Rockbox before owning any special mp3 player, except my old mobile phone, and I am reading a little to see what the "external mp3 player world" can/has to offer. After this introduction I can continue with the real content of my posting.

Is there also a dirplay-mode which supports also all subdirs?

JdGordon:
hmm... I was going to answer along the lines of RTFM, but you're actually asking a wierd question :p

no, there is not really a dirplay mode to play all subfolders... you have 2 options.
1) set "auto advance directory" to yes and it will play each subdir one after another (but in "new" playlists)
2) enable "recursivly add folders" and build a playlist with the context menu of the top folder.. it wont be dirplay, but will play everything

Mosician:
This forum is reacting so fast, which is great.

I wanted to add my new discoveries from the manual here, like

"
4.4.7.  Helpful Hints

Including subdirectories in playlists
"

but I was already too late, you moved already my question into a new thread. Sorry for making nonefficient work for you. So my question is answered, Rockbox allows also adding all subdir contents. So I can move to my other questions.
