Nano support for custom lists?

(1/1)

Relical:
I installed the software on my Nano last night (current build, loaded through the Rockbox Utility) and it's been running without any problems, I simply wanted to do some customization of the interface. As I was going through looking for themes, I found one that I liked for the 5g iPod and decided to make a personalized port of it.

My port is using the same basic .wps and .cfg files from the iPod download, but the images and files have obviously been customized to fit the screen dimensions of the Nano.

In this thread, there's a mention of using custom lists in the .cfg file to align the text and icons to fit within the borders of the image. The original .cfg file had actually been updated with these list parameters, but I'm a bit confused on their use as I've tried modifying them, but have seen no changes (I'm use the Rockbox UI Simulator to check my syntax and theme).

Here's my question(s)...
Does the Nano support custom lists like the one explained within the thread? If so, is the current build of Rockbox enabled to support these lists?

karashata:
The ability to define a custom list position is added by a patch on the Flyspray tracker (you can find it here), and it's used in some unsupported builds. You might check the Unsupported Builds section of the forum for a build for the Nano that uses the patch, or, if you can compile your own build, you can download the patch from the link I posted.

All that said, there is no custom list position support in the official builds, and unsupported builds are not supported outside of the forum thread for them.
