Database crash on implementation on a 5th gen ipod vid

so yea after it find about 7k files,, it just crashes. the screen freezes and needs to be rebooted! any ideas why guys?!! cheers

thanks very much, running the artwork tool now, hows about the drive correct option?
EDIT: ok i ran the artwork tool and the databasecrashed again, is the disk correct done with in windows explorder, as if you wer going to format it?

iive ran a fulldiskcheck,now im trying to get it to form the database again! heres hoping it works!
EDIT: it failed again, exact same errorabefore, what could the problem be>

Do a binary search:
Remove half your music and try again, if there is still a problem remove another half and try again, and so on until you find the file which is causing the problem.

its crashing on the 7147th file, why is it gathering so many when i only have around 4k songs?

Perhaps you're not counting the songs stored in the iTunes database?
Go to Plugins -> Applications -> Stats, it will tell you how many music files are actually on your player.

its counting 9259 files and 3955 songs, with 855 directories
does this seem correct for those figures?
