sansapatcher won't recognize c240 v03.02.05a

I'm trying to install rockbox for the first time onto a sansa c240, with firmware v03.02.05a

I've done the following:
Booted into msc mode with hold+left (no msc option in the native firmware). this mounted the sansa as e:
Extracted rockbox-sansac200-3.1 onto the player
Extracted rockbox-fonts onto the player
Ran sansapatcher

Everything goes fine, up until I run the sansapatcher, which says no sansa is detected.

I tried forcing it to use as e: as the sansa, but "sansapatcher 2 --list" gives an error "Error reading disk geometry: The device is not ready."

Any ideas?

You have a v2, which Rockbox does not run on.
