Apple Universal Dock and remote with 80 gig ipod

Jumalakarhu:
Hi,

I read that the accessory protocol for ipod as of r19585 is implemented in the daily builds. However I cannot get my Apple Universal dock with remote model A1256,http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB125G/B?fnode=MTY1NDA0OQ&mco=MjI4NjA5, to do anything but change volume. Well - there is signal out only if Accessory Power Supply is set to yes.  I've tried setting the serial bitrate manually for all the options with reboot in between with no success.
I have the following from debug - I/O ports

Accessory: 0
IAP Packet: 00 00 0F 00 EE 00 01 00

the nothing.

Love rockbox with flac->ogg autoconversion on Mediamonkey :)

Hi. The Onkyo DS-A2X seems to work well with later generation ipods, as reported by Brandon Low on the ipod accessories twiki on 27/01/2009. (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/IpodAccessories). I'm considering it as a purchase although it may not 'dock' to your computer in the proper sense and appears to sit alone, connected to AC power and speakers if needed. This is still major progress if you look down the line of tested accessories!

EDIT: not sure if this is entirely appopriate to the OP but wondered if anyone else had tried this device. Delete, rename, move as necessary and apologies if it's in the wrong thread!

Zardoz:
woops yes tracker is the best option. But some don't know what a tracker is so I was attempting a heads-up there. That Onkyo seems the bomb. Protocol implementer soap is to blame/benefit ultimately (I incline to benefit)

cool_walking_:
Haha I think soap just made the builds.  I think rpress (and maybe someone else that I can't remember) did the work.

EDIT: The people in here did it: http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/8624
