JBR20 HD Register Error

When I turn on JBR20 it tries to boot then shuts down.  When USB connected and i start unit screen shows:
                         HD Register Error               
                         SC1   (85)   128
                         SN1  (170)  128
                         SC2  (170)  128
                         SN2   (85)   128
Any Ideas on how to correct?    thanks

If not the batteries or connection what are the other possibilities?

Broken harddrive, broken ATA connector, bad grounding...
