Why can't I get Pictureflow to work on my iRiver H320 ?

(1/1)

Ton:
After having used a custom build for a long time, today I installed the official 3.0 build on my H320.
I was curious about the Pictureflow plugin after that, but I cannot get it working.
I enabled the Database and that is working correctly.
I have all the covers in their matching album folders. I tried 75x75 and 100x100 sizes, cover.bmp and cover.100x100.bmp as names, deleting the Pictureflow folder in between, but nothing helps. When I start Pictureflow it says "Preparing album artwork" , but nothing happens after that. There is no progress bar and the player freezes and has to be reset to get it working again.
What am I doing wrong ? Or does Pictureflow still not work in the H320 ?

AlexP:
Does album art in the WPS work properly?

rasher:
Does this work if you install a current build? Or a 3.1 Release Candidate 1 build (http://daniel.haxx.se/rockbox-3.1RC/rockbox-h300-3.1RC.zip).

Thanks for your replies.
I don't know anymore which particular build I had installed initially, but I reinstalled and have now r.19469-081217.
I enabled Database again and now Pictureflow works.

I have 2 more questions if you don't mind:
1) Are there indeed recent builds where Picureflow does NOT work ?
2) Can I resize all my covers to 100 x 100 and will they keep working in the wps then ?

AlexP:
1)  Pictureflow had some fixes recently, so it is possible depending on your configuration that it didn't before.

2)  If you have a recent enough build then album art will be resized as required for the WPS, so yes.  The last commits on this I could see were on the 2008/12/14, so the build you have should work fine
