Does Rockbox make a Sansa e200 sound "better"?

Just for clarity: Is this only a problem for the V1 Sansas? Are the V2 immune to this? Inquiring mind(s?) want to know.

1 - I edited you post so that you weren't showing the spoiler.
2 - This appears to only be a problem with the V1 Sansas.
