vcmx212 and vc21pc1

Hi all

I have a mx21 based virtualcogs vc21pc1 owner.
in depth I have developed som aplication poor playing .wav file and displaying bmp picture. but is not enough for me

Can I adaptive rockbox my vcpc21 or how I can playing mp3 file from sd mmc card

but I know this some player is mx21 based such as  toshiba gigabeat

is not adaptive it

Just knowing that it uses the same SoC as some other player does not mean that the port will be straight forward - for all you know every single other component is different and will require reverse engineering to get it working.

Please read the link LamdaCalculus379 has posted for you - it's the definitive guide for getting a new target running Rockbox. It's not a quick task.

The gigabeat uses the mx31, not 21.  They're different ARM processors (arm9 vs 10), though maybe they have something in common.

It looks like this is an open platform with schematics for the dev board and linux source code for the hardware, so reverse engineering may not be required.  But it would still take a fair amount of programming to move the linux drivers over to rockbox.

TSC2100 vs tlv320

is the TSC2100 codec chip or TLV320 codec chip  directly playing MP3 files
is need other file for playing mp3 file
