Adding songs to playlist
Seaningtime:
I used mediamonkey to create a playlist will all my music on it, but I deleted all the music once I backed it up so I could free up my computer and now I want to edit the playlist but it is not going so well for me.
Right now I am trying to replace mp3s with flac files.
What I did was name them all the exact same as the mp3s, put them in the same folder, and then I went to the playlist and changed all the extensions from .mp3 to .flac but now it still plays the mp3s if both files are present and doesn't play anything if mp3s are missing. Little help here?
Chronon:
This sounds like a mediamonkey problem -- or am I missing something?

Can you describe how you did this? What you should be doing is finding the plaintext *.m3u or *.m3u8 playlist file on your player (Normally in root or /Playlists), opening it in a text editor and doing a find and replace for .mp3 and re-saving the file.
If you do that, you should have no trouble achieving what you described.
Alternatively, you could use Rockbox's playlist functions to (re)create your playlists:

Seaningtime:
that is exactly what I did.
I went onto my ipod, went into playlists, opened the .m3u file, found the .mp3s and simply changed those to .flac and saved it
I thought that would do the trick, but even that still played the .mp3 files which I don't get?
*What I am asking is just how to edit the playlist manually (Through a computer, not through the iPod), because I am done with MM- Couldn't keep all my songs on my comp.
GodEater:
Open the .m3u up in Notepad - then change it there.
