Ipod Won't Boot...Period

(1/1)

Yo Soy Ruben:
I have a 60 gig ipod which is(?) a macpod. I was changing it to a winpod the hard way because nothing was working on the macpod. so i wrote it as a winpod formatted with FAT32 format (using this how-to http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/M ... e_Easy_Way). I followed the instructions very closely and when I ejected my ipod the ipod would not boot period.
What happens now is I press a button and then I hear the hard disk start spinning and the apple logo but no backlight and no boot into apple os, rockbox, or ipodlinux. I have no idea what happened I am assuming it has something to do with having two bootloaders (apple os and rockbox) and in turn the permissions.
So any help would be appreciated even if you tell me I'm screwed that's fine. I am more curious as to what happened than anything else.
Thanks.

Chronon:
Can you put it into Disk Mode?

Yo Soy Ruben:
you know the funny thing is it works and now i feel retarded
shoulda thought of that and thanks
now lets try this again...
