How do get my toshiba f40 to play songs? (more problems)

You mean this instruction:   "* Switch the battery off and then on again."?

There's a switch at the bottom of your player near the dock connector.

OK, i just added the original firmware back into my gigabeat... now when i turn it on, the loading bar (on the start up screen) loads half way and then freezes. and i can no longer connect it to the computer with the usb.

The FWIMG files were the ones from your computer?

the FS on the Toshiba is FAT32 i guess so no issues there? (sorry i'm new to poking at interiors) ;0
