I just installed vs. 3.0 on my Sansa E250. Impressive. So is the manual, except for my inability to use the white-on-black photos of the panels. Having changed the view on my player to black on white I really appreciate the difference in readability.
It would be helpful to others, I think, to see this change in the manual as well.

The manual uses screenshots from the default theme, which is currently cabbiev2. It would take a lot of work to develop a new default theme that looks good and works well on all possible targets.

Thanks for your prompt response. The new default theme would be an improvement, I think.
In the meantime I am discovering and enjoying the Rockbox. Especially the SDHC capability.

Iv'e just checked and the background is black and the text is white. Perhaps the "orange" highlight blanks text, clearly in black and white no colours will be shown.
The manuals are also available online, where if you are using a colour screen they will be rendered correctly.
