Bricked Sansa E280
« on: December 11, 2008, 11:22:02 AM »
Hi.  I just received my refurbished E280 in the mail yesterday.  Despite charging the battery, the player keeps turning off after 5-10 seconds each time it is turned on.  Is this a defective unit (that I should return for a replacement), or can this be caused by something else/repaired without returning to the dealer?  Thanks in advance.  Also, my computer does not recognize the device when it is connected by USB.

If it has any sort of warranty I would seek a replacement.  I kind of suspect a hardware failure.  Does recovery mode work?
