trouble getting doom to work

i got rockbox onto my 30gig ipod video and i want to get doom to work. but everything i try to do to get doom is not working. every time i create a directory my player keeps saying that it failed. as for that im not sure if im even doing the right thing, the way im making the directories. does anyone have any ideas?

I assume that you're following the directions here: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/PluginDoom

You should be able to create directories from within Rockbox -- maybe you are giving it a "bad" name?  However, it's probably easiest to mount your player to your PC and use your computer's file browser to create directories since you need to transfer files to them anyway.  If you have problems creating properly named directories then this might indicate damage to the filesystem and you should try to run a file checking utility (like chkdsk).

yeah i have a mac...idk if that means anything, but yeah i'v been lazy lately, i'll just take care of this later on, thx though
