Meaning, do I have to go through the whole bootloader thing to upgrade to 3.0? or can I just drag and drop the files into place since it was successfully rockboxed?
Also, is it possible to remove Rhapsody? I don't use it. I found this online but it's less than a year old:

If I read this correctly, this person was able to remove rhapsody, but maybe I'm mistaken.

You can just use Rockbox Utility to upgrade Rockbox. You only have to fuss with patching the bootoader if you wish to upgrade to a new Rockbox bootloader.
