Sansa e260r not recognizing SDHC card

Im running RB ver. r18607-3.0-080923
I used the panisonic SD formatter and formatted the card to FAT32
I put a few songs on the card and plugged it into my Sansa. The loading indicator came on but nothing happened past that. I updated the database but to no avail. I searched for relevent topics but none seemed to address my problem. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Just because the songs doesn't show up in the database doesn't mean the card isn't recognized.

Can you see it in the file browser in Rockbox?

i dont see it in the files area or in the database. any ideas on where to go from here?

Chronon:
Is there any difference between hot plugging the card and booting Rockbox with the card already inserted?

ive noticed no change between the two.
