Music Issues
« on: November 30, 2008, 04:57:54 PM »
I recently installed Rock Box for my Sansa e280. It took me a while to finally find my music, and when I did, i discovered it wouldn't play everything. is there a 'Play All' feature on it instead of having to cycle through artists and albums?

You should look into the manual. It covers all the playback modes (specifically, if it's not in the manual, it doesn't exist).

As well, this isn't an installation question, please read the POSTING IN THIS FORUM post in each section before you post in that section.

There are two ways to play all of the music stored on your device.

The first would be to make a root playlist which will scan your device for all of the music stored on it and put it in a playlist on the root of your device. This can be done by going to the "Playlists" menu from the main menu and selecting "Create Playlist". Then all you have to do is select that playlist and you'll be playing all of your music.

The other way would be to go to the Database, make sure you have it initialized (which will require a reboot to save the database information if it isn't initialized already), then go to Artist -> All Tracks and pick a track you want to listen to first.
