5th Generation Ipod Power Issues

Like another member here, my 5G Ipod Vid (30G) sometimes will not power on after a successful power-off.  I'm stuck having to "hard-reset" (menu-select fro 30 sec.) but I'm trying to see if a better solution exists.  Also, is this limited to just my model or is it widespread among other Ipods and, even farther, other players?   ???

This is the ONLY issues I have with Rockbox.  Other than that, I am completely satisfied with the firmware!!  ;D

This is widespread amongst iPods.
It is strongly believed to be an issue with Apple's bootloader and one you rarely see when using Apple's firmware because Apple's firmware normally sleeps instead of powering all the way off (and thus invoking the bootloader again.)
